Lymphatic Drainage utilizes light touch techniques that pushes and encourages excess fluid buildup towards the bodies natural drains and ultimately towards the heart where it will be recirculated. This technique can help with pain and swelling that results from various maladies. Patients who have excess lymph tissue due to surgery or injury are perfect candidates for this work- if they get permission from their doctor. However, patients with congestive heart failure should NOT receive lymph drainage treatment as it is contraindicated for this condition.
